IFR Hold Procedure

The Emergency IFR Hold Procedure Software Option enables automated pattern entry, and hold functionality. Since the PortaPilot is not approved for any IFR procedures this is reserved for emergency situations only, to save life and property.

This option enables the PortaPilot to fly directly to a Hold Waypoint (HWPT), perform the appropriate entry procedure and remain in the hold. While in the hold, it continuously monitors and corrects for wind and groud speed, while remaining within the protected hold area.

NOTE: If this item is purchased without a PortaPilot, then your unit will need to be mailed in for a firmware update.
